About BuyCospa
BuyCospa (Buy Before the Lab) is an independent English-language publication that writes in-depth comparison articles on consumer electronics, home goods, and AI tools. We exist for one reason: to help readers spend less on things that don't deliver value, and confidently pay more for things that do.
What we actually do
Every article on BuyCospa is a head-to-head comparison. We pick two (sometimes three) mainstream products in a category, dig into the spec sheets, cross-reference real user reviews, and then write up the honest case for each side — including the case against the one we personally prefer.
We do not write "Top 10 Best [Product] You Must Buy in 2026" listicles. We do not rewrite Amazon bullet points. If a comparison can be done in a 200-word table, we don't pad it into a 2,000-word article to game an ad impression.
What "value" means here
We don't define value as "cheapest." We define it as:
Value = Price ÷ (Uses × Satisfaction × Durability)
A $40 pair of wireless earbuds that lasts 18 months and sounds good to you is better value than a $200 pair that lasts 5 years but lives in a drawer. We work through the math, the tradeoffs, and the specific situations where the cheaper option stops being the smarter one.
How we work
- We buy what we review. When possible, we purchase products with our own funds. When a unit is loaned by a brand, we disclose it on the article — and the loan never affects the verdict.
- We use what we buy for at least a week before publishing a verdict, unless the product category is so standardized (chargers, cables) that hands-on time is less informative than spec analysis.
- We cite sources for every number — battery life, power draw, lumen output, sound pressure, drop-test results. If we cannot find a reliable source, we say so instead of guessing.
- We state the persona, not the "winner." Instead of "Buy Product A," we say "If you [specific situation], buy A. If you [other situation], buy B."
- We update articles when products change. Firmware updates, price drops, new competitor entries — we revise and re-date articles instead of leaving stale verdicts.
Who writes BuyCospa
BuyCospa is operated by Fascode Inc., a small product-research team based in Tokyo with contributors in the US, UK, and Southeast Asia. Our writers and reviewers come from backgrounds in consumer-electronics journalism, industrial design, and quantitative market research. Names, bios, and LinkedIn profiles are listed on the byline of every article.

Our stance on affiliate links
BuyCospa participates in the Amazon Associates program and a small number of other affiliate networks. When you buy a product through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This commission is how the site is funded.
Affiliate revenue does not, and has never, influenced a verdict. We have refused products from brands that asked for positive coverage in exchange for placement, and we have published negative reviews of products sold by brands we have affiliate relationships with. We do not run "sponsored" articles — every comparison on the site is editorially independent.
Corrections and updates
If you spot a factual error — a wrong spec, a price that's gone stale, a misattributed quote — please email [email protected]. We log every correction on our public Corrections page with the date, the article, and what changed.

What we don't do
- We don't write listicles, "round-up" filler, or articles designed primarily to rank for a keyword.
- We don't accept payment for coverage, in any form, from any brand.
- We don't auto-generate or rewrite competitor articles. Every comparison is human-researched and human-written.
- We don't bury the verdict. The recommendation is in the second section of every article, not at the end.
